Our Story

M. M. Industries, Inc. is a supplier of oilfield, marine, industrial, and medium/heavy truck products. Our product lines are specialty in nature. They include cast steel lifting bails(caps and plugs), oilfield thread protectors, power transmission supplies, and medium/heavy duty truck brakes and accessories. We have been serving the industry as a supplier of these products since July of 1983.

As of the beginning of 2014, M.M. Companies has become the North American distributor of Penguin Lifting Bails.  This cast steel product is offered in a variety of sizes at a much higher quality than what has previously been in the market place.  We are excited to carry a large quantity in stock and proud to continue to develop product lines to better serve the needs of our customers.  In the power transmission line we offer a multitude of products from well-known manufacturers. Our thread protector line consists of new, reconditioned, and field grade protectors in plastic, composite, and steel types. In our medium/heavy truck supply line we stock shoes, drums, strapping, lighting, and other accessories. We also offer a brokerage service with availability on products not in our inventory. With locations in Morgan City and a brand new Lafayette area location opened in February of 2012 behind the new Baker Hughes facility in Broussard, Louisiana, M. M. Industries, Inc. is strategically situated to meet the many demanding timelines of our industry.  We are a short drive to the Port of New Orleans, providing access to export/import shipping facilities. We can quote C.I.F. prices to/from most major ports worldwide. M. M. Industries, Inc. is interested in establishing business relations in your area, and welcomes inquiries from various prospective businesses and trading companies who can provide sufficient identifying information. Information packages should include the year the company was established, the products it now handles, current U.S. trade references, and any other information for establishing credit lines.

In 1994, M.M. Plastics Mfg. embarked on a mission to bring quality thread protectors, friendly service, and fair prices to oilfield and mining companies alike. For more than 15 years, our pursuit of this ideal has allowed our continued growth and success, of which we have shared with our employees, community and customers. At M.M. Plastics we pride ourselves on protecting your investment with high quality, heavy duty polyurethane thread protectors. Our protectors withstand climate changes, day-to-day abuse and extreme transports better than lightweight injected mold protectors many sell today. Plus, poured mold protectors cost thousands less in tooling, thus allowing M.M. Plastics to be a leader in special/custom and proprietary protectors for major oil and mining companies worldwide.
